Hour of Code: Program Arduino with Scratch
We invite children of 9 – 12 years old and their parents to learn the fun of programming in robotics! Our experienced volunteer Ibrohimsho Abduchaborov, founder of Robokids project, will teach children to program Arduino (one of the most popular platforms for creating DIY projects involving Internet of things, i.e. robots or smart house technologies) with one of the easiest and funniest programming languages: Scratch.
This workshop opens the world of advanced robotics to children and it is a part to the global initiative “Hour of Code”. Computers are everywhere, changing every industry on the planet. But fewer than half of all schools teach computer science. To help change this, we are celebrating the Hour of Code, a global movement to help students learn the fun of coding. More than 100 million students have tried an Hour of Code and we invite you and your child to take this challenge too!
This workshop is open to children 9 to 12 years old. (Parents are welcome to attend with their children!) Space is limited, so sign up now!
