Learning about America through Film
Visitors will learn about American culture, history, and social issues through cinema. All genres will be represented and the films will be discussed briefly on their importance and background. The goal of this club is to not only entertain, but to understand different subjects of American culture through visual art. Participants will also learn English vocabulary, listening comprehension and critical thinking.
The film to be shown and discussed this week: “The Breakfast Club” (1985, 95 minutes long).
NOTE: Film is rated R and is not suitable for those younger than 18 years old.
