World Humanitarian Day Simulation
To commemorate World Humanitarian Day, we will offer a public diplomacy simulation program with our two summer interns from the U.S. In this activity you will put your diplomacy skills to the test and work in teams on a hypothetical global scenario centering on humanitarian issues. This simulation will allow for collaborative learning experiences in which you play the role of a real-life diplomat. You will work in teams and explore the different perspectives of the stakeholders involved in the given scenario (e.g. foreign ministries, NGOs, international organizations). Under time constraints, you and your team members will be challenged to negotiate a peaceful solution to a crisis in the scenario.
These kinds of simulations are both fun and informative and are an excellent way to learn about global issues and practice your argumentative and critical thinking skills. We invite you to give it a try!
Led by Emory Hughes (Brigham Young University), Maria DeCasper (Fordham University), U.S. Embassy interns and Madina Plieva, BA International Relations at Corvin University of Budapest, and Samson Yim, MA International Relations at University of Kent and MA International Relations in Eurasia at National Research University, Higher School of Economics, AMC volunteers.
