The Book Review and Book Trailer Contest
The American Center in Moscow is excited to announce the 2022 Book Review and Book Trailer Contest. Join this contest to share your love of books by American authors, to apply your skills to creating a digital media product, and to help others discover amazing stories to read. The contest timeline: February 7, 2022 – May 15, 2022, the last day to submit your entries — May 15, 2022 23:59 MSK. Winners will be announced in June 2022. Winners will be awarded prizes; best reviews and trailers will be featured on social media pages of the American Center in Moscow.

The Movie Review Contest
The American Center in Moscow is excited to announce the 2022 Movie Review Contest. Join this contest to share your love of American movies that address the topic of our planet’s health, to apply your skills to creating a digital media product, and to help others discover good movies and find their inner environmentalists. The contest timeline: February 14, 2022 – May 15, 2022, the last day to submit your entries — May 15, 2022 23:59 MSK. Winners will be announced in June 2022. Winners will be awarded prizes; best reviews and trailers will be featured on social media pages of the American Center in Moscow.
Past Contests
Creative Writing Contest: “Good Night, Moscow”
The American Center in Moscow together with Funky Chekhov’s Society hosted a flash fiction contest “Good Night, Moscow”, encouraging their patrons to write a short fiction story (500 words maximum) in English to express their feelings to the capital of Russia or any other city they have a strong emotional connection with. The contest ran in December 2020 – January 2021, the winners were announced in February 2021.
AMC Online: Contest “50 States of Music”
From March to September 2020 the American Center in Moscow was running an online contest to choose the best modern anthem for each U.S. state. Visitors on social media could listen to songs, and vote for the one that they thought best captured the spirit of the state.
AMC Online: “Book Spine Poetry” Contest
In April 2020 the American Center in Moscow celebrated National Poetry Month with a Book Spine Poetry Contest. We encouraged our patrons to spend the month of April combing through their bookshelves for the most interesting titles to create their own book spine poetry and submit it to us.
Results 
AMC Online: “CREATIVE COPYING POETRY CONTEST”
In May 2020, the American Center in Moscow celebrated creative writing with a Creative Copying Poetry Contest. The participants competed by imitating (or creatively copying) the poem Fire and Ice by the famous American poet Robert Frost.
AMC Online: “Space Marathon”
Over 10 days in March 2020, the American Center published questions and tasks on various space-related topics on social media (VKontakte, Facebook). The participants were submitting correct answers to compete for prizes.
Mobile App Contest: AMC APP Challenge
American Center invited its patrons to submit mobile app ideas for the AMC Mobile App Challenge. Deadline of the program was November 8, 2019.
