AMC Online | Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn: Our Inspiration to Becoming Grammy Award-winning musicians

Béla Fleck is known for virtually reinventing the image and the sound of the banjo through a remarkable performing and recording career. He is a 15-time Grammy Award winner and has been nominated in more categories than any other artist in Grammy history. He is a powerfully creative force globally in bluegrass, jazz, classical pop, rock and world beat.

Abigail is a Grammy Award-winning clawhammer banjo player and singer who has produced ten albums in a continuous stream of music that incorporates folk elements and global sounds. In additional to musical outreach globally, Abigail has traveled and performed many times in China as a cultural representative of the United States. She was also named a TED fellow about building US-China relations through music.
