Award-winning American musicians will perform original compositions by Copland, as well as music inspired by Copland, specifically for our audiences in Russia. A discussion with the musicians will be held after the concert.
Pianist Pascal Le Boeuf and saxophonist Remy Le Boeuf are musicians who channel their influences, environments, and resources into works that reflect their own identifies. Their latest project, imaginist—inspired by the early 20th century Russian poetry movement—is a full-length album in collaboration with JACK Quartet, one of New York’s premiere string quartets devoted to contemporary classical music.
Dave Eggar was a musical prodigy as a child who began playing the cello and piano at age three, performed on Broadway and with the Metropolitan Opera at age seven, and debuted at Carnegie Hall at age 15. He is a graduate of Harvard University and the Julliard School’s doctoral program and has performed worldwide as a solo cellist and pianist.
Tim Stafford is a Grammy Award-winning bluegrass musician who co-founded the group Blue Highway, with 26 IBMA Awards and three Grammy nominations.
