AMC Online | Peace Corps/Social Entrepreneurship talk with Lisa Curtis
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the U.S. Peace Corps by John F. Kennedy on March 1, 1961, we invite you to join a conversation with Peace Corps alumna and social entrepreneur Lisa Curtis on our Facebook page on March 1 at 7:00 pm Moscow time. Russian interpretation will be provided.
The Peace Corps’ mission is to promote world peace and friendship, celebrate diversity around the world, build relationships and opportunity, and foster equality and inclusion. Returned Peace Corps volunteers continue to sustain their commitment to volunteerism and public service and inspire a new generation of global citizens.
Hear more about Lisa’s experience in the Peace Corps in West Africa, and how she incorporated her understanding of nutritional challenges faced in West African villages to create a socially conscious business that unlocked the U.S. market for thousands of low-income farmers around the world, supported over 3,000 women and family farmers, and planted over 24 million moringa trees. Lisa has been selected as a Forbes 30 Under 30 leader in social entrepreneurship and is a frequent speaker on business as a tool for social change.
