Please join us for a virtual discussion with  American blue-beat soul singer Quinn DeVeaux.

This Friday, talk with soul and R&B singer Quinn DeVeaux about his upbringing in Indiana, about blue-beat soul, and his 30,000-mile tour through 10 cities in Russia in June-July 2019. Find out what he meant when he said, “My experience of Russia was so different than I could have ever imagined.”

Quinn DeVeaux, was raised among the musical influences of R&B, soul, and funk in Gary, Indiana, by his grandmother, a former jazz singer. He moved west with just a guitar and eventually found his way to San Francisco, California, where he was a founding member of the Blue Roots, a blue-beat soul band that operated out of the Mission District. He has been praised for his “funky sound that feels as authentic as it does refreshing.”
