AMC Online | Teacher Development Series — Implementing Peer Assessment in Project-Based Learning

The American Center in Moscow invites pre-service and in-service English language teachers to join a series of online viewing sessions of the “American English Live: Teacher Development Series 15” webcasts every other Thursday from September 8, 2022 through November 17, 2022 at 11 a.m. MSK and 4 p.m. MSK.

These viewing sessions will be conducted by the American Center in Moscow on Zoom and will be followed by a discussion. At the end of each webinar, participants can complete a short quiz to earn a digital participation badge. Additionally, participants who attend 4 out of 6 online viewing and discussion sessions can earn an e-certificate.

American English Live Series 15 — six free professional development webinars for English language teachers around the world — will explore topics including Using Music in the EFL Classroom, Project-Based Learning (PBL), and Multi-Level Classes.

The participants who attend 4 out of 6 online viewing and discussion sessions hosted by the American Center in Moscow on Zoom will earn an e-certificate from the Regional English Language Office. The viewing sessions take place every other Thursday from September 8, 2022 through November 17, 2022. You can sign up for each session by clicking the links below. To qualify for an e-certificate, you need to attend 4 out of 6 sessions on Zoom and fill out an attendance form during the session.

On October 6 at 11:00 a.m. MSK and 4:00 p.m. MSK, during the session “Implementing Peer Assessment in Project-Based Learning (PBL),» Juli Sarris will discuss how to prepare for and conduct peer assessment during PBL so that learners can provide constructive, validating, and encouraging feedback to their classmates.
