Global Entrepreneurship Week is a massive campaign to celebrate and empower entrepreneurs in every country and community around the world. Each November, 10 million people take part in tens of thousands of activities, competitions and events that inspire them to act and provide them with the knowledge, experience and connections they need to succeed.
To celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week on November 8-14, 2021, the American Center in Moscow invites you to a series of virtual meetings with American experts in the field of business and entrepreneurship.
Our guest speaker today is Joe Kapp, co-founder and President of the National Center for Resource Development, a nonprofit that focuses on increasing entrepreneurial skills and mindsets across the globe. Kapp, himself a serial entrepreneur, is an internationally recognized expert on entrepreneurship and how it can be leveraged to create wealth. In addition to starting a number of businesses and nonprofits, Kapp has coached hundreds of startups and business owners on entrepreneurial principles.
During today’s engaging session, Kapp will highlight the key aspects of entrepreneurial mindset thinking. This lively session combines both academic research with real-world, practical experience that help seasoned and new entrepreneurs put vocabulary to both the practices and actions that successful entrepreneurs take. Attendees will learn how to use these entrepreneurial concepts to increase their success and make more money.
Kapp has also served as a professor of entrepreneurship and has taught thousands of students across the globe on the principles of entrepreneurship. In 2016, Kapp relaunched National Entrepreneurship Week, a Congressionally charted annual event in the United States, to drive greater awareness about startup funding, resources, and the skills needed to drive entrepreneurial success. He also launched RuralRISE, a national group of community developers, that helps America’s rural communities share insights on how new businesses can help revitalize small towns.
In addition to his startup business, Kapp has a significant background in technology. Kapp previously worked for Siebel Systems in Silicon Valley where he counseled Fortune 100 companies implementing Customer Relationship Management Software and Sales Force Automation Tools. Kapp previously worked for the accounting firm KPMG in the Business Incentives and Relocation Group, Technology and Knowledge Management, and the State and Local Tax Group. Kapp has counseled numerous large corporations like Johnson & Johnson, Glaxo, STK and others on the implementation of enterprise-wide sales software.
An inspiring and dynamic speaker, writer and coach, Kapp is the author of the forthcoming book titled Entrepreneurship in America, How To Start. Kapp holds a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from Florida State University.
