We are excited to resume the American Center’s virtual programs and invite you to join the first meeting of the interactive series: “Three, two, one… Done!” where you will learn how to make good decisions and get things done. These sessions will tell you about well-known personalities and their contributions into modern theories that shape decision-making process. Practical tips and exercises will give you hands-on experience on how to start developing and improving your decision-making skills.
The theme we discuss on October 7 at 6 pm MSK is «Fakesperts». We trust experts. Experts are people with experience and appropriate backgrounds. But are experts always correct? Remember the famous example of the ancient statue that didn’t look right, but the J. Paul Getty Museum in California bought it for several millions of dollars based on experts’ opinions. The statue turned out to be fake (Blink by Malcolm Gladwell). In this session of the Three, two, one… Done! program we will review the decision making based on expert opinion, the situations when we can trust an expert opinion, and the situations when we should not.
Led by Inna Starikova, AMC Volunteer, professional business trainer with over 20 years of experience.
This meeting is hosted on Zoom, so if you are interested in joining, please create a Zoom account beforehand. When registering below, please submit your valid email address to receive a link to the class Zoom meeting 30 minutes before the session begins.
