AMC Slow Reading Club

In our fast-paced world where we are quickly skimming through news, texts and books without spending time on reading them fully, many of us have lost the ability to read. Join us for a new club to practice reading more effectively in English. Using poems and short stories, we will focus on logical and creative thinking, deeply enriching your understanding of English and its nuances — which will simultaneously help improve your everyday speaking and writing skills as well! This club is open to everyone, but will be excellent for translators, teachers of English, students of English and anyone who loves to read/write.

Led by Margarita Shcheglova, who is a graduate of the Literary Institute of Moscow and U.S. program of creative writing at the University of Iowa. She has had many works published in the U.S. and U.K. as well as a book of poetry, "The More The Merrier."

This club meeting we will discuss the poem, "As I Walked Out One Evening" by W.H. Auden.
