ELT Lecture: Blended Learning

The American Center invites English language teachers, education professionals and students to a lecture on blended learning by English Language Fellow Akiva Weiss. In his lecture, Akiva will talk about what blended learning really means, its different models, and ways to use it in an English language classroom to impact students’ learning and performance. Participants will learn how to leverage technology in education in order to give language students a more personalized learning experience.

Akiva Weiss has a decade of experience teaching ESL/EFL, training teachers, and developing curriculum. He has worked in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe at the tertiary level, as well as in U.S. public schools. He holds graduate degrees in Special Education from Western Governor’s University, International Law from Oxford University, and is preparing to defend his doctoral thesis at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
