Join our English Conversation Club.

This group is open to everyone with all levels of English and is a fun way to learn more about American culture, practice speaking English and meet new people.

Tonight’s topic is 9/11. We are commemorating this day, as it is a very important historical event for Americans. Questions for discussion include:

1. If you had the opportunity to interview witnesses to one of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, what questions would you ask? What would you want to know about their experiences and thoughts?

2. What role do you think that passengers, airlines, airport authorities and other officials should play in air travel security? In your opinion, what, if anything else, should be done to promote secure air travel?

3. What aspects of American life do you think were changed after the 9/11 terrorist attacks?

4. In your opinion, are there any lessons to be learned from what happened on September 11, 2001?

The event is facilitated by the American Center in Moscow and led by Mikhail Danilov, AMC Volunteer.  Mikhail Danilov was born in Siberia but lives in Canada. He has two master’s degrees in Political Science and Business. He also studied computer science and design, likes sports and traveling. He’s an easy-going person and likes to meet new people, always happy to help everyone who wants to improve their English.
