This lecture will provide you with a sound foundational understanding of financial and management accounting, and how to use accounting to facilitate and align decisions made by owners, managers, and employees.

Firstly, we will focus on accounting, an expression of values (assets, liabilities, and equity),  and finance — valuation of assets, liabilities, and equity. Then, we are going to have a look at the most useful ratios and measurements that are commonly used in companies, so that you can improve your skills in this area and apply them to the rest of your career. Finally, we will have a look at the interconnection between strategy, operations, and the numbers that demonstrate the financial stability of our organization.
