Lecture: “Making Sense of the 2018 USA Elections”

Welcome to a lecture by David Schultz, Hamline University Professor of Political Science. He will present the academic non-partisan view on the recent mid-term elections in the U.S. and will explain who won, what it means going forward, and the possible impact nationally and internationally. 

David Schultz is a Hamline University Professor of Political Science who teaches across a wide-range of American politics classes including public policy and administration, campaigns and elections, and government ethics. He is also a professor of law at the University of  Minnesota where he teaches constitutional law and election law. A three-time Fulbright scholar who has taught extensively in Europe, and the winner of the national Leslie A. Whittington award for excellence in public affairs teaching, David is the author of more than 35 books and 200+ articles on various aspects of American politics, election law, and the media and politics. His most recent books are Presidential Swing States (2018) and The Encyclopedia of Money in American Politics (2018).
