American Center at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow launches a new series of public talks and business meetings with experts in the field of business and entrepreneurship.

Our guest speaker today is Steve Crown, Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Microsoft Corporation. Steve will talk about responsible and human-centered artificial intelligence; ethical principles to protect human rights in the context of booming AI and principles to guide facial recognition.

Speaker’s bio:

Steve Crown is Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, Microsoft Corporation. Steve leads an international team that focuses on development of internal policies and business practices, as well as external engagements that serve to advance application of rule of law to human experiences in an increasingly digital world. A graduate of Oxford University and the Yale Law School, Steve holds leadership positions in the American Society of International Law, the International Bar Association, and the Association of American Rhodes Scholars. Steve’s experience in Russia dates to his days as a student at Leningrad State University.
