Welcome to a series of workshops on how information media work. We will research how the news is made and why it is presented in this or that way, how to tell the difference between fake news and reliable news, what makes content viral and how it becomes click-bait.

Session 5: Unpacking a News Story. Here we will unpack the news story. One short information message. We will figure out of what it consists. Which phrases one should use to make a perfect news message. It will be useful to see a news piece disintegrated to understand important details and indicators. In the future it will help to tell the difference between quality information and slopwork.
