About the speaker
Marcelle Morris graduated with degrees in English from Cal Poly Pomona where she focused on teaching composition and rhetoric and contemporary women writers of color. She was a manager and English instructor for 20 years at Citrus College in California developing instructional support and distance education programs. Having a long-term desire to work and live abroad, 13 years ago she moved to China to teach English. She then served as an English Language Fellow in Ethiopia working with English and culture programs; a curriculum specialist and instructor in Tokyo; and is currently teaching with a University of Colorado program in Beijing. She is interested in exploring the role of creativity in teaching and learning.
