Environment Education Workshop: How to Give Old Stuff a Second Life

We are pleased to announce a two-month educational project to provide information about environmental issues, sustainable development and better practices to prevent harmful destruction of local and global resources. Workshops will include special guest speakers from local environmental organizations in Moscow as well as U.S. Embassy officers working in areas such as science policy, biotechnology, the environment/natural disasters.

Led by Alexander Pachkov and Alexandra Chernova, alumni of the Russian Youth Environment Exchange Program. 


  • Wednesday, February 8th at 6:30p.m.: How Do We Save the Planet?  (guest speaker: Sergey Skorobogatov, Member of Public Chamber of Moscow Region and Director of «Посади дерево»)
  • Wednesday, February 22nd at 6:30p.m.: Sharing Economy and the Environment (guest speaker: Tatiana Chestina, Head of «ECA» Green Movement, Russia)
  • Monday, March 6th at 6:30p.m.: The Economic Aspects of Climate Change (guest speaker: Mikhail Yulkin, CEO of Environmental Investment Centre)
  • Wednesday, March 22nd at 6:30p.m.: How to Give Old Stuff a Second Life (guest speaker: Yulia Sukhanova, Founder of Эко-расхламление and U.S. Embassy officers)
