American Center holds regular STEM programs for high-school and undergraduate students aimed to strengthen each participant’s engineering knowledge and project management skills. Our platform is a starting point for future innovators.
Fire Detector
The project was developed during the AMC.Code Program on August 2018. The team of FFD developed a fire detector consisting of a receiver and transmitter, that can detect a fire in the forest and immediately notify the forester and the fire station. It allows to find the source of fire more quickly, which makes fire extinguishing more effective.
Diabetes Treatment System
The project was developed during the EPIC (Engineering Practical Innovative Course) Program led by RYEP alumni. The group focused on creating a device that will measure blood level sugar without actually using blood. Participants, 2 high-school students, are currently working on their project started at the American Center’s Makerspace and successfully attend different conference and participants in contests for STEM-interested youth. Learn more on their website.
