If you are looking for an opportunity to polish your reading and speaking skills in English, enrich your vocabulary, and discover American culture through the universal language of literature, the American Center in Moscow’s Book Club is the right choice for you!

Biweekly sessions of the Book Club are dedicated to one book by popular American authors of the twentieth century, such as Truman Capote and S. E. Hinton. In each session, we are going to discuss the originality of the book’s plot twists, analyze psychological motivations of the characters, look for the book’s relevance in the context of our personal experiences, and, finally, share our impressions about the reading.

In the session on June 3 at 7:00 PM MSK, we are going to discuss «Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe» by Fannie Flagg.

These sessions are designed for adults (over 18 years old) with Intermediate to Advanced levels of English.

Led by AMC volunteer Daria Matyashova, an MA student in International Relations at the Russian Saint Petersburg University and an ex-columnist in online media publications.
