AMC Online | Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms Speech — Freedom of Religion
In his January 1941 address to Congress, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt articulated his vision for a postwar world founded on four basic human freedoms: freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear.
As America became engaged in World War II, painter Norman Rockwell did a series of paintings illustrating the four freedoms as international goals that went beyond just defeating the Axis powers.
Upcoming month of December is a month of many religious holidays celebrated all over the world. To mark these events we are discussing «freedom of worship» during our virtual meeting tonight.
