Mindfulness can bring awareness to your life and help you manage difficulties more skillfully. Everyone faces challenges, during their lifetime, and mindfulness training will provide you with a toolkit to help control these better.
Our current methods for stress control may cause us to react impulsively, or push away our stresses and thoughts in the hope that they will disappear. But by paying attention to our thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and our environment we can gently bring awareness to our experience in each moment.
Being present in this way and not hiding or forcing things, it allows us to accept and work with these emotions, responding to them appropriately. By working with your mind and body, you will live with more appreciation and less anxiety.
Scientific research has shown that the strategies we will discuss can reduce stress and anxiety and improve your physical conditions and general wellbeing.
This workshop invites you to actively participate, practice, and discuss these ideas and implement them into your daily life.
Workshops led by Tomas Nieto, AMC volunteer and a fully qualified Science Teacher from the UK, with a BSc Hons degree in Neuroscience.
