Welcome to a series of discussions focused on the architectural story of Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York City. Innovations, sustainable methods and prominent architectural figures will be mentioned.

The event consists of a 30 min presentation followed by a discussion. It doesn’t matter if the participant isn’t familiar with the field or if it’s a professional. This discussion is for everyone and any level of English is welcomed.

Today we will learn how Seattle preserved its architecture while keeping an open mindset. This thought frame has enabled its citizens to enjoy a harmonius space in which they participate and communicate. We will look at the events which lead to this outcome.

Led by Lidia Nataly Somarriba Sokolova, a Nicaraguan-Russian student who specializes in projects of social context. She was raised in Nicaragua but came to Moscow and finished her architecture studies there. She has travelled to conferences around the world, bringing awareness of sustainability and the importance of community work.
