The Empowering Educators to Motivate Students professional development program, presented by the American Center Moscow, was offered in both Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 and was led by English Language Specialist Dr. Donita Grissom. Across the two phases, teachers explored practical, research-based strategies for increasing student motivation, supporting social-emotional learning, strengthening teacher well-being, differentiating instruction for multilingual learners, and creating safe, engaging learning environments. The spring program expanded on these concepts through Hope Theory, Emotional Intelligence, Growth Mindset, and restorative classroom practices, providing educators with additional tools to foster resilience, belonging, and academic success. Each session combined educational research with immediately applicable classroom strategies, giving participants practical resources they could implement right away.
