The American Center in Moscow invites English teachers to participate in the professional development course “Empowering Educators to Motivate Students.” This practice-oriented course is grounded in current research and designed to help teachers enhance student motivation, support social-emotional learning, effectively manage mixed-ability classrooms, and create engaging, low-anxiety learning environments.
What: A 6-part online professional development series focused on motivation, SEL, and practical English-teaching tools
Who: K–12 and university English teachers (including ESP/EAP instructors and teacher educators)
When: September 29 — December 15, 2025 (see full schedule below)
Where: Zoom
Why: Motivated learners—and calm, confident teachers—make English the highlight of the week.

The project is planned for two cohorts to accommodate participants in different time zones:
Cohort 1 — 12:00-13:30 Moscow time
Cohort 2 — 18:00-19:30 Moscow time
Both cohorts cover the same content, so participants only need to join the session at the time most convenient for them.
