Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Student Leaders

Application status: Currently closed, opens every November-December. 

What:  A five-week-long academic residency/domestic study tour designed to enhance participants’ leadership skills

Designed for:  First through third year undergraduate student leaders

Requirements:  Demonstrated leadership through academic work, community involvement, and extracurricular activities. See full list of eligibility requirements.

This program is designed to provide participants with a deeper understanding of the United States, while simultaneously enhancing their leadership skills. Coursework and classroom activities are complemented by educational travel, site visits, leadership activities, and volunteer opportunities. The Institutes will include an academic residency component of approximately four weeks and a domestic study tour of approximately one week. STEAM and environmental study students are encouraged to apply!
